So last week I lost a little over 10 pounds from my starting weight. Today when I weighed I gained 0.4 pounds from last week's weight. I was very discouraged and did some research. This can happen and I may stall for a month or more while my body makes adjustments. I will work on being patient with the weight loss.
There are other encouraging things to celebrate. My blood pressure dropped so low that I have been able to decrease my blood pressure meds to only half a pill of one medication and to stop taking the other one. My blood sugars are stable in the 90-110 range and I've stopped one of two medications for that.
I am able to fit in to my jeans that I haven't been able to wear for 6 years! My highest pant size was 32, I'm down to a size 24 now. But I only dropped from a size 28 to a 24 since beginning the diet.
All of this is encouraging and I need to remember I'm doing this for my health, not for the weight loss. It has been fairly easy so far other than the keto flu for two weeks. It eased up once I started getting more salt and electrolytes.
Onward and upward every day!
