I think those core exercise ideas are great. Maybe those leg exercises would be good between a warm up and your walk.
Your public library, the one about a mile away, has great work out videos you can check out. It might be fun if you walk there once a week check out a video and use it for a bit then write a "review" about it.
That reminds me your mini-cise is to lay on the floor, on your side and do side leg lifts... 6 on each side. Slow up, hold for a few seconds... slow down... slow up, hold for a few seconds etc.
